Fish Free Fish-Sticks
1 package of extra firm tofu
1 tsp nori flakes
1 tbsp water
1⁄2 tsp soy sauce
1⁄2 tsp miso
1⁄4 tsp sesame oil
Salt & pepper
2 Eggcitables “eggs”
1⁄2 cup of bread crumbs
1 tbsp nori flakes
1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
1⁄2 tsp onion powder
1⁄4 tsp salt
Press tofu for a minimum of 1 hour to get rid of excess water. Slice tofu into 1.5cm thick
sticks and place in a reusable container. Add nori flakes, water, miso, soy sauce, sesame,
and salt & pepper. Let marinate in the fridge overnight.
In one small dish, whisk up Eggcitables “eggs”. In a separate dish, combine bread crumbs,
nori flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Remove tofu from the marinade and pat each stick dry. Dip tofu sticks in the Eggcitables egg
then cover in bread crumbs until all are covered.
Baking Method - Bake sticks at 375 for 15 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown.
Frying Method - Shallow fry sticks over medium-high heat in 2cm of vegetable oil for 1-2mins
until golden brown.
