WOW - these vegan mozzarella sticks are the perfect finger food to bring to a social gathering. They are crispy on the outside and melty-gooey on the inside. Whether you are vegan or not, these mozzarella sticks will impress any crowd.
You can use whatever vegan mozzarella you'd like for this recipe, but the Main Vegan Deli No Buffalo Mozza is hands down the best vegan mozza I've ever had. If you're in southern Ontario, you have to try it!
Ingredients
1 block vegan mozza
Wet Mix
3 tablespoons Eggcitables original mix + 3 tablespoons water
Dry Mix
1 & 1/3 cup white rice flour
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
dash or two of salt
Directions
-Slice mozza into sticks and freeze overnight.
-Add wet mix in one bowl and whisk.
-Add dry mix to another bowl and mix it up.
-Heat oil for deep frying to about 350 degrees.
-Dip frozen cheese stick in Eggcitables mix, into the flour mix, back into the Eggcitables mix, and then the flour again.
-Repeat with all cheese sticks.
-Add them to a parchment lined baking tray and stick back in the freezer until the oil is heated.
-Fry them a few at a time for 2-3 minutes.
-Serve with marinara and enjoy!
